Okay, we won't say that this is easy. There's quite a learning curve on this, and it really is for the 8-plus set. We like the design of this that allows the slide to stay in place and provide a little extra traction. However, you really have to do this on a flat surface and have enough space at the front and the back to get a good run.
This is a step up from your typical water slide. Kids absolutely go nuts for this product, but there will be spills as they master skimboarding, and it takes a few tries. In some of our cases, quite a few. But that's a good thing. One of the reasons kids love this kind of thing is that they know they aren't going to hit the trick every time. And taking the time to learn will keep kids busy and occupied.
One tip: Do watch the instructional DVD that comes with it. You'll be glad you did. Also, make sure that there is adult supervision and carefully check the area where you're going to lay it out so that it's on grass with no sticks or other debris underneath.
