What It Is
The new Nerf Rebelle Heartbreaker Bow is an updated version to the existing Heartbreaker Bow with Dart Storage and part of the line of Nerf blasters and gear toward girls. The new bow features updated graphics so instead of the previous Pheonix design, which was purely white, pink, and purple colors, this one adds golden yellow graphics.
While it might have the look of a bow, it still operates the same as a blaster. To shoot, load a dart in the front holder and aim at your target. Then pull back all the way on the bow's string handle. Align your shot and release to send the dart flying. While marketed as up to 75 feet, on average we launched the darts about 50 feet.
Why It’s Fun
The Heartbreaker Bow lets girls act out the role of their favorite arrow-slinging heroines such as Brave's Merida and The Hunger Games' Katniss Everdeen. And for girlie girls looking for Nerf gear, the Nerf Rebelle line offers gear that feature graphics that are a bit more female-friendly but just as powerful.
We were happy to see that the range of this particular blaster has also improved in comparison to the original Pheonix Heartbreaker Bow, which averaged a distance of only 20–25 feet. The bow's string also did not hit our arms after the release like the original.
Who It’s For
Nerf Rebelle Heartbreaker Bow is for girls ages 8 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
The bow also features an accessory rail where you can attach the included five-dart storage or the Nerf Rebelle App Cradle, which is sold separately.
Do not aim the darts at people's eyes or faces.
