What It Is
The Babar and Badou's Musical Marching Band app gives kids three ways to interact with characters from Babar and the Adventures of Badou.
First, kids can read a story about Babar and Badou preparing for the arrival of the Rhinos. Ambassador Crocodylus is jealous of the warm welcome the Rhinos will be receiving, and he tries to ruin everything. But Badou realizes the croc's plan and saves the day by getting everyone to work together. With the Read to Me option, the story is narrated and kids are prompted to touch certain parts of the storybook pictures for animations and sound effects. The Read & Play option allows kids to read the story themselves and interact with the touchpoints on the screen. The Quiet Reading option lets kids or an adult read the story aloud, but there are no interactive touchpoints on the screen.
After reading, kids can play one of three games. In Alphabet Derby, kids must drive the Zoomer Blimp to catch the letters of the alphabet. In Go Bananas, kids help Badou catch 20 bananas. And in Treasure Hunt, kids must find five hidden objects.
In the Create section of the app, kids can make music, color digital coloring pages, and sing along with a song from the show.
