Top Special Needs – Gross Motor Skills
Gross motor movement is what makes big body movements like running, walking, climbing and jumping. Children with neurological issues, developmental delays, motor planning disorder (also known as dyspraxia, which is essentially trouble conceiving, organizing, and executing certain movements due to a miss-communication with the brain) need extra help to learn these skills. Physical and/or occupational therapy in addition to working with your child at home can help increase their gross motor skills. Below are some toys that can also help.
