What It Is
Now younger kids can play the word game Quiddler with Quiddler Junior. This is a fun word game where you use cards with letters and pictures on them to make words, and then get point chips to keep score. You need two to six players to play, but there are also instructions for an alternate game play of solitaire if a child wanted to play alone. In the two to six-player game, points are earned by arranging the cards in your hand into one or more words. Each round, the number of cards dealt increases starting with two cards per person and going to seven cards per person. The player who makes the longest word in any round gets five bonus points. At the end of six rounds, the player with the most points wins.
Why It’s Fun
The point chips make it easier for young players to keep track of points as opposed to using a score pad. And kids will like earning, adding, and exchanging their point chips for larger value point chips. In addition to vocabulary and spelling, kids are also practicing math skills. Quiddler Junior is an easy game to learn and fun for the whole family to play together.
Who It’s For
Quiddler Junior is for ages 5 and up.
