What It Is
The object of the Disney Dazzling Princess Game is to be the first player to fill up your tiara, bracelet, and ring with gems. To start, each player takes a tiara, bracelet, and ring. Then, players take turns drawing cards and, by looking at the picture on the front, guessing which Disney Princess the picture belongs to. Place the decoder heart gem on the back of the card to reveal the answer and see if you're correct. If you are, take the number of gems shown on the back of the card and place them anywhere on your jewelry. If you're incorrect, you don't take any gems.
If you draw a Secret Princess Card, place the decoder heart gem on the back of the card to see who the secret princess is. Put on your jewelry and pretend to be this princess. The other players must guess who you are. If another player guesses correctly, you and that player both take the number of gems shown on the back of the card.
The first player to completely fill her tiara, bracelet, and ring wins and gets to place the decoder heart gem at the top of her tiara.
The Disney Dazzling Princess Game comes with four tiaras, four rings, four bracelets, a decoder heart gem, 40 jewels, 200 cards, and instructions. It is for two to four players.
Why It’s Fun
This is a great pre-reading game. With some of the images on the cards, kids have to complete the picture in their minds. (This is called "closure," and it's an important pre-reading skill.) The Disney Dazzling Princess Game is also a great way to get kids up, interacting, and dressing up in their jewelry—and of course pretending to be princesses.
