What It Is
In The Zombie, the Princess & the Kid Next Door, players earn tokens for making three in a row. The game comes with 27 tiles that have pictures of either a zombie, princess, or kid next door on them. To start, place the tiles face down and mix them up. Each player takes three tiles and holds them so only they can see the tiles. Then players take turns placing one tile on the game board. After placing a tile, take another tile so that you always have three tiles in your hand. You collect one scoring token any time you are able to make three in a row—horizontally, vertically, or diagonally—of the same character (zombie, princess, kid), same shape (circle, square, triangle), or same color (green, blue, red). In some cases, you may be able to score more than one token if you make more than one row of three. For example, you might place a tile that makes a row of three boys horizontally and three circles vertically. That would give you two tokens. When all the spaces on the game board are filled, the player with the most tokens wins. The game comes with a game board, 27 game tiles, 24 scoring tokens, and rules.
Why It’s Fun
The Zombie, the Princess & the Kid Next Door is easy to learn and requires a bit of strategy to play. Watch where you place your tiles so that you don't help your opponent score three in a row.
Who It’s For
The Zombie, the Princess & the Kid Next Door is for ages 6 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
The game instructions don't say whether you can score a token by playing on someone else's three in a row. For instance, if someone makes three kids in a row and gets a token, can another player place a kid tile at the end of that row and also score a token? Because the instructions don't address this, you might want to decide if you want to play that way before you start playing.
