What It Is
The Anteater Bug Vac is part of Uncle Milton's Nat Geo Wild line. As the name implies, it is a real vacuum for picking up bugs, and it looks like an anteater. Turn on the vacuum and pick up bugs. The bugs travel into a see-through chamber on the anteater that can be removed. It has an integrated magnifying glass for a close-up look at the bugs. When you're done, flip open the chamber's door and dump out the bugs. The vacuum is not very powerful so as not to hurt the bugs.
Why It’s Fun
This motorized bug vacuum is safe for bugs, and it gives kids a close-up look at the world around them. Many young children are fascinated by bugs, and the Nat Geo Wild Anteater Bug Vac indulges a child's curiosity about these creepy crawly creatures. With this toy, kids won't have to touch the bugs, which is great for kids who, though curious, may be a bit squeamish about bugs. However, it does still require kids to go out in nature and vacuum up the bugs.
Who It’s For
The Nat Geo Wild Anteater Bug Vac is for ages 5 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Four AA batteries are required but not included.
If you have little kids outside, be sure to supervise them as they're collecting bugs. Ladybugs and beetles might be okay for this. Stay away from stinging bugs such as wasps and bees.
