What It Is
Hiccups is a new brainteaser from PlaSmart, the company behind the challenging Perplexus series of puzzle games. There is a ball inside the spherical Hiccups and eight colorful cups. The object is to pass the ball sequentially from cup to cup without a hiccup, or letting the ball drop. Follow the numbers and arrows printed on the outside of Hiccups so you know where to take the ball. If you drop the ball, you must start back at cup 1.
Why It’s Fun
This is a fun but challenging game. There is a learning curve as players figure out the right speed with which to drop the ball from one cup to another. But once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun, and you can test yourself to see how fast you can pass the ball from cup to cup. Hiccups can also help with motor and dexterity skills as well as hand-eye coordination.
Who It’s For
Hiccups is for ages 6 and up. However, anyone who enjoys a puzzle that's basically simple but offers an entertaining level of challenge will find this hard to put down.
What To Be Aware Of
The small size of Hiccups makes it great to take and play in the car.
Some parents or grandparents may remember a version of this that was called Frustration Ball.
