What It Is
The MEGA Bloks Rescue Center is a preschool construction set from MEGA Bloks' First Builders line. The 52-piece set is rescue-themed and includes one policeman, one fireman, and one emergency vehicle. The set is made up of oversized blocks and comes in a plastic storage container. Baby can use the lid of the container to build on.
Why It’s Fun
The big blocks make it easy for the youngest of builders to grasp and offer a great way to introduce construction play at an early age. The theme of the set will introduce baby to the idea of helping others, while encouraging discovery, fine motor skills, and open-ended play.
Who It’s For
The MEGA Bloks Rescue Center is for ages 1–5.
The rescue play theme is one that adults usually purchase for boys, but girls may like it as well. The play is really about the building and creating narrative play.
As kids get older and more adept at playing with the blocks, the play will become more sophisticated, which helps maintain the appeal of this toy over time.

Kids of any ability need to develop their fine motor skills, which are essential for intricate movements with the hand such as grasping or writing. Stacking blocks is a great activity to help kids develop and strengthen these skills. The size of the MEGA Bloks First Builders helps immensely with these skills. The large size coupled with the rounded edges of the connectors makes the blocks easy to stack. All kids love feeling successful, and these blocks provide a sense of accomplishment while playing and building vital skills.
