What It Is
The Orbeez RC Ladybug Scooper is a fun new way for kids to play with Orbeez. Orbeez are tiny, hard pellets that grow into soft and squishy colorful balls when you place them in water.
Before you can put the Orbeez inside the Ladybug Scooper, you'll need to grow the Orbeez pellets. The kit comes with 2,000 Orbeez in eight colors. Sprinkle Orbeez pellets in a bowl and add one cup of water per packet and a small pinch of salt. Each packet produces between half to one cup of grown Orbeez. Let the Orbeez soak for at least four hours or overnight until they reach full size. Remove them from water using a strainer.
Scatter the grown Orbeez on a clean floor surface and set the RC Ladybug Scooper moving by controlling it with the remote control. Kids can make the ladybug go forward, backward, left, and right. As kids drive the ladybug over the Orbeez, the ladybug collects the Orbeez through its mouth. The Orbeez will travel into the ladybug's clear body, creating a colorful shell. Press the pink button on the controller to dispense Orbeez from the back of the ladybug so that kids can make the ladybug pick them up again and again. As the ladybug moves along the floor, its eyes and wings also move and the ladybug lights up.
Why It’s Fun
Kids will like the unique look and bright colors of the Orbeez and watching them grow in water. It's easy to grow the Orbeez and easy (and fun) to pick them up with the RC Ladybug Scooper. Kids will have a lot of fun controlling where the colorful ladybug goes, picking up the Orbeez, and then releasing them to do it all over again.
Who It’s For
The Orbeez RC Ladybug Scooper is for ages 5 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Four AA batteries are required for the ladybug. The controller requires one 9V battery. Batteries are not included.
Some assembly is required.
The instructions say that the Orbeez RC Ladybug Scooper works best on smooth flooring or low pile carpet. We tried it on carpet and the ladybug barely moved. It worked much better on our kitchen floor.
Remove Orbeez from the ladybug when not in use and store them in a clean, closed container.
