What It Is
Crayola's Story Studio is a web-based application that uses face recognition software to let children easily morph their photos into customizable cartoon characters that they can insert into comic book stories and pages and then print them out and color them. A special code found in each pack lets kids unlock the Story Studio application on Crayola.com/StoryStudio and transform their photos into cartoon characters, then create stories with those characters.
With the Star Wars Story Studio kit, kids can create and star in an adventure with Star Wars characters. The kit includes everything kids need to create their own storybook: 15 twistable colored pencils, 30 story sheets, six glossy cover sheets, and three binding strips. The glossy cover and binding strips turn the coloring pages into a complete storybook that kids can color in with a variety of Crayola tools.
Why It’s Fun
This is simple coloring fun, but with the addition of personalization, it makes a terrific activity that takes coloring play into a whole new dimension of creativity and storytelling. Star Wars fans, especially, will like adding a cartoon version of themselves into the Star Wars story.
