What It Is
Groove Tube is a puzzle game that challenges players to remove a ring from around a tube. Inside the ring is a labyrinth of grooves. Players can't see the groove maze. The only way to remove the ring is to twist and turn it around the tube in the correct way. Players must feel their way through the maze to solve the puzzle and release the ring. There is only one solution to each Groove Tube. If you get stuck, you have to find your way back to the beginning. Groove Tube is available in six different colors with six difficulty levels.
Why It’s Fun
You're going to want to start with the simple orange version because Groove Tube is hard. Unlike traditional puzzle games, you can't strategize or use critical thinking skills to solve the puzzle because you can't see the puzzle. It's sort of like trying to open a safe without knowing the combination and without really getting any reliable clues that you can build on. Some kids will enjoy the challenge of trying to visualize what the maze looks like as they move the ring around the tube, while the Groove Tube will simply frustrate other kids.

What To Be Aware Of
No matter how frustrated you get, use gentle force to pull or push the ring into place. Excessive force may damage the toy.
