What It Is
Transformers Rescue Bots is part of Hasbro's Playskool Heroes line of toys for preschoolers who want all the play and activity of big-kid action figures but who may not have the fine motor skills to play with the characters—and who are engaged by play themes that are age appropriate. Based on characters from the Transformers universe, these preschool-friendly figures, vehicles, and playsets are sized for little hands and contain simple features that are easy for preschoolers to use.
From the outside, the Fire Station Prime Playset looks like a regular fire station playset with a fire pole, ladder, and training tower. But when kids turn the dial on the front of the playset, the fire station's façade converts into Optimus Prime's robot face, complete with lights, sounds, and 12 phrases. The Cody Burns action figure can slide down the fire pole and hop in the Heatwave the Fire-Bot vehicle to drive off to the rescue. The playset also has a "firing" water cannon and open and closing garage doors. Turn over the Heatwave vehicle to reveal the hidden robot on the underside of the vehicle. (The vehicle does not transform.) Also included with the Fire Station Prime Playset is a storybook. When playtime is over, everything stores inside the playset, which folds up and has a handle for easy storage and transport.
Why It’s Fun
This is a great playset for general fire station/firefighter play. Kids will like that it's easy to transform the playset into Optimus Prime. The Fire Station Prime Playset still has the transforming action that the Transformers brand is known for but at an appropriate level for the youngest fans.
