- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
ThunderCats, one of the classic animated shows of the 1980s, is back with a new show on Cartoon Network. Bandai is releasing a full line of toys that lets kids bring the action of the series to life. The ThunderTank is the ultimate ThunderCats vehicle. It comes with an exclusive four-inch Snarf figure. Place Snarf inside the cockpit to activate lights and the "ThunderCats, Ho!" phrase. (The Snarf figure is embedded with a magnet called ThunderLynx. The ThunderLynx system activates unique features in other products throughout the ThunderCats line.) Press the middle button on the ThunderTank to activate Lion-O's voice that says, "ThunderTank fire!" Combine the ThunderTank with Lion-O's and Tygra's ThunderRacers (each sold separately) for additional play. The ThunderTank will launch the two ThunderRacers and kids will hear Lion-O say, "ThunderTank launch!"

The ThunderTank is a good toy for narrative-based action/adventure play that is most likely to appeal to fans of the ThunderCats series.

What to Be Aware of
We found the instructions a bit incomplete and a little bit confusing. Adult assembly is recommended. You might also want to use a magnifying glass.
The ThunderTank takes two AAA batteries, which are not included.
