- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
The VTech Care & Learn Teddy is an interactive stuffed animal for toddlers. Press Teddy's ears, hands, feet, and tummy to identify body parts and hear phrases related to each body part. Kids can also take Teddy's temperature with the thermometer. Press the button on the thermometer to see what the temperature is. Kids can use the stethoscope to hear Teddy's heartbeat. Touch the end of the stethoscope to Teddy's heart to hear it beat, along with phrases and sounds. There are two modes of play: Play Mode and Music Mode. Press Teddy's left ear to switch between modes. In Music Mode when you press Teddy's touch points, you'll hear sounds and melodies.
Why It’s Fun
This is great pretend play for kids as they use the accessories to take care of Teddy like a doctor would. There is a lot of sensory stimulation from the colors, the light-up nose, and different textures on the bear. Pressing all the different touchpoints on the bear helps kids with motor skills.

The Care & Learn Teddy is for ages 18—36 months.
What to Be Aware of
The Care & Learn Teddy comes with two AA batteries, which are for demo purposes, and VTech recommends replacing them for best results.
The bear features automatic shut-off after 30 seconds of inactivity to preserve battery life.
