Fisher-Price's new Thomas & Friends Discover Junction line brings Thomas toys to kids 18 months to 3 years old. Items in the Discover Junction line feature toddler-appropriate play that includes trackless playsets and chunky, soft plastic engines.
For Thomas, every day begins and ends at Tidmouth Sheds. The Discover Junction playset lets kids explore and interact with Thomas at Tidmouth Sheds. Press the button above the sign to open the doors. Send Thomas down the ramp to hear phrases and sounds. Move the water tower spout up and down for water sounds. Place Sir Topham Hatt next to the water tower to hear a special job for Thomas. Spin Harold the Helicopter around for sounds and phrases. Load coal at the coal hopper. The playset comes with 10 pieces, including Thomas and his cargo car, a sir Topham Hatt figure and car, two pieces of coal, two crates, and more.
Why It’s Fun
The design of the set makes it easy for toddlers to interact and play with Thomas just like the big kids. All of the pieces are sized right for small hands, and the play is age-appropriate, inspiring the youngest Thomas fans to discover, explore, and tell their own Thomas stories as they play. Through the play—rolling the train engines, spinning Harold, pressing buttons—kids practice their motor skills and are introduced to cause and effect.
