What It Is
What It Is
Laser Pegs are an innovative, new construction toy that lets kids build light-up models. Each piece is made of clear ABS plastic with a small resistor and LED light on the inside of the molded shape. Connect the pieces by sliding them together, then press the red button on the power base to light up the pieces.
The Dune Buggy set is a 31-piece set with instructions on how to build a Dune Buggy, but kids can also go to the Laser Pegs website (laserpegs.com) for instructions on how to build a variety of other items with the pieces in this set, and, of course, they're always free to let their own imaginations run wild. The pieces simply slide together, making it easy to connect and build. Connect the power base with the included cord, and press the button to watch the complete model light up in multiple colors. There are a variety of other sets available, and each one lets kids build and light up something different.
Why It’s Fun
Kids who like building model cars and other construction sets are going to love Laser Pegs' illumination, whether lighting up a model for play or using it as a nightlight. This is a great new innovation to building sets.
Who It’s For
The Laser Pegs Dune Buggy set is for ages 7 and up.
What to Be Aware of
The Dune Buggy build can be tricky so take your time, follow the picture instructions, and make sure the Laser Pegs pieces are facing the proper direction.
This set comes with three AA batteries. You can also connect the power base to a wall outlet, but you'll need an AC adapter, which is sold separately.
