What It Is

What It Is

Let your future Food Network stars get some practice with the Cupcake Kitchen. This pretend kitchen lets preschoolers bake cupcakes, just as they've probably seen mom or dad baking and cooking in the kitchen. There are a lot of accessories that add to the imaginative roleplay. The knob for the stove burner makes a clicking sound when turned. There is a storage drawer for plates and utensils. And the oven opens up to reveal four pretend cupcakes in a cupcake pan. Other accessories include two plates, two forks, two knives, two spoons, two sprinkle shakers, a spatula, and a pot with lid.

Why It’s Fun

Kids love acting out what they see their parents doing because they want to be just like mom and dad. A parental activity that kids want to play out is cooking or baking. The Cupcake Kitchen offers great pretend play for kids.

Who It’s For

The Cupcake Kitchen is for ages 2—5.

What to Be Aware of

Some assembly is required. You will need a screwdriver, which is not included.
