- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
Hot Wheels has been around for nearly 43 years, and this year it's adding some great innovation. Instead of tracks being built on the floor, Wall Tracks are built up on the wall. Packaged with a simple installation template, along with Command Strips from 3M, parents can easily hang the Wall Tracks without concerns over wall damage. Completely modular, the track pieces can be moved around and mixed and matched to allow for maximum creativity and fun. Once your track is assembled, put the car at the top of the track and launch it down. Wall Tracks were designed to also go around corners, so kids can fit their Wall Tracks behind a room door, closet door, or just along the corner of their room. Every Wall Tracks product comes packaged with a Hot Wheels die-cast car.

This is a new and unique way to race Hot Wheels cars. Wall Tracks offer the same thrilling stunts that Hot Wheels is known for, but at new heights. With so many innovative ways to set up the track, kids can customize their own tracks right on their bedroom walls.

Wall Tracks are for ages 4 and up.
What to Be Aware of
Be sure to follow the directions for placement and removal of the Wall Tracks. Particulary with respect to removing the adhesive from the walls, the strips must be pulled straight up.
DO NOT apply the tracks to wallpaper.
It took us about 30 minutes to assemble our track. Mattel recommends that you build your track from the floor up.
Wall Tracks are not for use with some Hot Wheels vehicles, according to Mattel.
