What It Is
Alien Conquest is the newest line of themed building sets from LEGO. As the story goes, aliens have invaded the earth, and it's up to earthlings to defend themselves. The Alien Mothership is a 416-piece model with cool sounds and great details—including the Alien Commander, who may be a little bit familiar to anyone who knows the movie Mars Attacks! Can the intrepid reporter escape from the claw as the Mother Ship heads for outer space? The Alien Mothership comes with two minifigures, the alien commander and a reporter, a moveable abducting claw, a LEGO sound brick, and real spinning outer disks.
Why It’s Fun
The whole alien invasion concept is a familiar story, but it comes to life in a new way with this highly creative collection of models and building sets. Kids will particularly like the cool, colored, translucent pieces of the Mothership, and once it's built, you have great sounds and action, making this a very playable model. In addition to the colorful pieces and creative design, we were really impressed by all the play value built into this—and all the imaginative, narrative-based fun this can inspire.
