- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
Love It! Hate It! is a game that asks how well you really know your friends and family. Do you know what type of super power they would love and hate to have? Could you name with whom they would love and hate to be trapped in an elevator?
Each round, someone reads a scenario card out loud and waits for their friends to secretly reveal what they think the card reader would love and hate in the situation. Once all the answers have been written on the dry-erase speech bubbles, one person holds the speech bubbles over the card reader's head and reads the answers out loud. The card reader will then pick the answer they liked best from the Love It options and the Hate It options. If your answer is picked, you get a chip. The object is to get three Love It chips and three Hate It chips to win.
The game comes with 18 Love It chips, 18 Hate It chips, 294 scenarios on 147 cards, three two-sided blank cards, six dry-erase speech bubbles, six dry-erase markers, a chip bag, a bubble tray, and rules.
Why It’s Fun
Love It! Hate It! is an easy-to-learn party game. You might be surprised at the answers your friends and family will write down for you. The answers, like the questions, can be realistic, silly, or downright bizarre, which can make for a surprising and fun time.
Who It’s For
Love It! Hate It! is for ages 12 and up. The game is for three to six players, and we think the closer to six players you have, the more fun the game will be.
What to Be Aware of
The game doesn't come with erasers for the dry-erase speech bubbles. But the words come off easily with just a tissue or paper towel.
