The final challenge in becoming a Jedi is building your own lightsaber. Kids can do just that with the Lightsaber Room Light, part of Uncle Milton's Star Wars Science line. Star Wars Science is a way for kids to learn about the similarities between our world and the Star Wars universe. Through building a lightsaber, kids are shown how electronics make the lightsaber work. Once the lightsaber is constructed, it can be mounted to a wall and controlled with the remote control. It even plays authentic lightsaber sound effects. There are different versions of the Lightsaber Room Light: Obi-Wan Kenobi (lights up blue), Darth Vader (lights up red), Luke Skywalker (lights up green), and a Nine-Color Mode lightsaber. Each comes with a learning guide, two hilt halves, a power cell shroud, a battery pack, an electronics pack, a wall mounting bracket, a blade, a remote control, and wall mounting hardware.
Star Wars fans will love bringing the excitement of the movies to their bedrooms with this great toy and nightlight. Building the lightsaber is easy for kids to do, and there is an educational component to the building. The light is bright enough for kids to read by and makes a great bedside light.
The Lightsaber Room Light is for ages 6 and up.
Parents should help attach the mounting hardware to the wall.
The Lightsaber Room Light requires five AAA batteries, which are not included.
