Our editorial team has more than 100 years combined experience working in the toy industry. Our rating system ranks toys on 4 key criteria:
- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
Pop Rocketz are soft foam rockets that are powered by air. The set comes with three rockets and a soft foam hand launcher. Put a rocket on the launcher, squeeze, and it flies through the air. The harder you squeeze, the farther they go. The rockets can launch up to 50 feet.
Why It’s Fun
We were impressed by how well these flew and how far they went. This is a classic toy at a good value that will keep kids entertained and this is the type of toy that's enhanced by kids making up their own games as they play, something they do naturally.
Who It’s For
Pop Rocketz are for ages 5 and up.
What to Be Aware of
Even though these are made of soft foam, don't aim them at people's eyes or faces.
