- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
The Pretend & Play Ice Cream Shop lets kids pretend to run their very own ice cream shop. The set inspires all kinds of creative play with plenty of make-believe accessories—four scoops of ice cream, a sugar cone, a cake cone, a sundae dish, a banana split dish, a banana that "splits" in two, a scooper, two spoons, an apron, a write-and-wipe menu, an ice cream carton, and a chocolate bottle that "squirts" pretend chocolate syrup (It's a brown string.). There are 18 pieces in all.

The Pretend & Play Ice Cream Shop comes with so many great accessories that really help kids engage in open-ended play. We especially like the pretend chocolate syrup because it's creative and whimsical. What to Be Aware of
The Pretend & Play Ice Cream Shop comes with enough pieces that more than one child can play with the set at a time, helping foster social interaction and cooperative play.
Another thing we really like about this is that while "tea parties" tend to appeal to girls for the most part, ice cream play is completely gender neutral.
