What It Is
High-octane adventure continues with the release of Disney/Pixar's Cars 2 on June 24, 2011. Lightning McQueen and Mater head to the World Grand Prix where they get caught up in international espionage. Hasbro is reimagining some of its classic board games in the style of Cars 2.
It's a race between Lightning McQueen and Francesco to see who can get the most matches first. In the Cars 2 Memory Game Match & Motor Speedway, kids must match Cars characters to move along the racetrack game board. Choose a pawn and place it in the start space on the racetrack. Mix up the cards and place them all facedown. On your turn, flip any two cards picture side up so that all players can see them. If you got a match, place those cards into the grandstand cardholder. Then move your pawn forward one space on the racetrack. Continue flipping cards until you don't get another match. If your car is first to go across the finish line (eight matches), you win.
The game comes with two character pawns, 28 picture cards, a racetrack gameboard, a spectator grandstand, and instructions. It is for one to two players.
Why It’s Fun
This is a fun take on the classic game of Memory. Kids will like playing with the Cars characters in this new way. The game can also be played solo as a way to strengthen concentration and memory skills.
