- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
Dora the Explorer fans can build Dora's house with the Dora's Playtime Adventure construction set. This 45-piece set comes with indoor-themed pieces (sofa, fridge) and stickers for decorating. There is even a slide. There are multiple ways for kids to build and create. For example, kids can build Dora's house as wide or as tall as the pieces allow. Dora's Playtime Adventure comes with Isa the Iguana and a Build & Dress Dora with two skirts. The set is compatible with other MEGA Bloks World of Dora construction sets.
Why It’s Fun
This is a really cute building set that offers kids lots of creative play. Kids will like building and decorating Dora's house however they want. The block pieces are chunky enough for little hands to grasp, making this set easy for younger kids to put together.
Who It’s For
Dora's Playtime Adventure is for ages 3 and up. Girls will really like the decorating/dollhouse aspect of it.
What to Be Aware of
The pieces didn't stay together all that well for us, especially when we tried to move the house from one room to the next. Don't press the building blocks down too hard or what you've already built might come apart.
