- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

What It Is
LEGO's Hero Factory is a line of buildable action figures. There are six hero characters to build in the new 2.0 series, including Surge 2.0. This 30-piece set is easy for kids to put together. Simply follow the directions to snap the pieces together. Once complete, kids have a six-inch, fully poseable action figure. Surge's arms, head, knees, and so much more move. Surge 2.0 comes with a light green hero core chest plate; headgear that includes a pretend long-distance thermoscope, motion sensor, camera, and antenna; and a special tool with long-distance ice spears and climbing hook.
A special code on the packaging allows kids to access Hero Factory online at HeroFactory.LEGO.com. There kids can complete online missions that complement the offline play. The other hero figures include Stormer 2.0, Furno 2.0, Nex 2.0, Evo 2.0, and Breez 2.0. Each is sold separately.
Why It’s Fun
Kids will really enjoy this hands-on action figure. There's something satisfying about building the toy yourself before playing with it. The action figure's poseability adds a great deal to its play value.

What to Be Aware of
It should only take about 10 minutes to put this action figure together. Make sure to keep the directions handy.
Before kids go online, they should always get adult permission. Even though the LEGO site is safe for kids, parents may still want to supervise their child's online activity.
