What It Is
High-octane adventure continues with the release of Disney/Pixar's Cars 2 on June 24, 2011. Lightning McQueen and Mater head to the World Grand Prix where they get caught up in international espionage. Hasbro is reimagining some of its classic board games in the style of Cars 2.
Get popping with Mater in the Trouble Game with Mater. Pop the Pop-o-Matic bubble, cleverly positioned in the truck bed of Mater, to roll the dice, then move your pawn the correct number of spaces. If you land on a space where your opponent is parked, bump them out and tow them back to the garage. The first player to get all four of his cars around the racetrack and into the Victory Lane wins. The Trouble Game with Mater includes 16 plastic playing pawns, four rubber gameboard feet, a plastic game unit with Pop-o-Matic die roller, a gameboard, and a label sheet. The game is for two to four players.
Why It’s Fun
This is a cute Cars 2 take on the classic game of Trouble. The gameplay is the same as the original game but instead of the familiar Pop-O-Matic device, kids get to "pop" Mater the tow truck. And instead of moving colorful pawns around the board, kids move colorful cars around the racetrack board. Sure, you may already own Trouble, but this version is great for kids who are really into Cars.
