Transformers: Dark of the Moon doesn't hit theaters until July 1, 2011, but fans can already get involved with the new versions of these classic characters with the first wave of toys based on the film. Hasbro has released a Cyberverse Optimus Prime Preview Pack that comes with an Optimus Prime action figure and a pair of 3-D glasses. The glasses unlock special content online at Transformers.com. This Optimus Prime action figure has a difficulty rating of one, which means it is easy to transform the character.

This is definitely for the collectors who will love anything related to the movie. Regular kids will like that the action figure is transformable, and the special online content heightens the excitement and anticipation fans have for the next movie in the Transformers saga.

What to Be Aware of

The 3-D glasses are for the online content only; they are not for use in cinemas. Parental supervision is recommended when kids go online.
It's listed as a Level 1 on the transforming scale, but it took us a while, though that's part of the play. As with many of the Transformers toys, the picture instructions only give an indication of how to do this. It takes a lot of trial and error, but, of course, that's part of the play, too.
