What It Is
Stomple is a strategic family board game that combines Othello with Chinese Checkers. Randomly lay out the marbles on the game board. Everyone picks a colored Stomper out of a cloth sack so you never know what color you're getting. On your first turn, use the stomper to push any marble in the outer row into the tray below. It doesn't have to be a marble that matches the color of your Stomper. On subsequent turns, there are a few different ways to stomp, depending on your strategy. Will you stomp marbles that match your Stomper color or will you stomp to block other players from stomping their own colored marbles? Turns pass until a player can't make a move and then his or her stomper is removed from the board. The player with the last Stomper on the board at the end of each round scores points. The first player to reach the game point total wins.
Stomple comes with a wooden game board, storage tray, 49 marbles, six wood stompers, a drawstring stomper storage pouch, and game instructions. It is for two to six players.
Why It’s Fun
Stomple is a game of outsmarting, outmaneuvering, and outthinking your opponents. It's a lot of fun to stomp out the marbles, and it's a great game that the whole family can play.
The tactile nature of the game adds a great dimension to the gameplay, and like classic strategy games your fortunes and best-laid plans can change in a moment.

What to Be Aware of
Despite the fact that it's pretty simple and the directions are clear, it took us a few readings to get down exactly how to play. You may be a lot smarter than us, but if you're having trouble understanding the gameplay, there is a really great virtual tutorial at www.stomple.com that takes you step by step through the rules and even "plays" a sample game for you.
