Hasbro has redesigned its Nerf Dart Tag collection of blasters and accessories in anticipation of the 2011 Nerf Dart Tag World Championship. (Go to Nerf.com for details.) Kids can gear up for the competition with the Dart Tag Swarmfire. This blaster comes with 20 foam darts that have Velcro tips. (The Velcro allows the darts to stick to the special Dart Tag jerseys, which are sold separately. You don't have to have the jerseys to use the blaster.) It's easy to load up the blaster. Once it's loaded, turn it on for rapid-fire action.
This is a classic boys' play pattern, and foam dart blasters are a great way for kids to engage in this kind of play. This blaster is easy to use, and boys will like the rapid-fire action.
This blaster is for boys ages 8 and up.
The Swarmfire requires six C batteries.
Do not aim at eyes or faces. That said, when using this blaster, make sure to wear some form of protective eyewear, just in case. Hasbro sells Dart Tag Vision Gear Eyewear, but a pair of sunglasses or other protective eyewear will also work.
