- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

New to the FurReal Friends lineup is the Newborn Polar Bear Cub. When kids press its tummy, it moves its arms and blinks its eyes, as if it is waking up. It also makes bear noises. The toy comes with a baby bottle for make-believe nurturing play. Kids can visit FurRealFriends.com to print out an adoption certificate for their bear.
Why It’s Fun
The FurReal Friends line continues to offer realistic animal play that kids love. The bear is really cute and soft, and its movements are fairly realistic—or realistic enough for kids to feel like they have a baby Polar Bear to play with. Kids can pretend to take care of the polar bear cub, an animal they wouldn't normally get to play with.
Who It’s For
Because of the nurturing play factor associated with this toy, we think girls ages 4 to 6 will like it the most, but older kids will find the cuteness very appealing as well.
What to Be Aware of
The polar bear cub makes a mechanical noise when it moves, but this shouldn't bother kids who are used to this at this point.
