What It IsNo matter where you are or how much time you have, you can play Zip-It, a fast-paced world-building game from the people who created the super-popular Bananagrams.
Everything you need to play this two-person crossword race is all in the cloth pouch, which also serves as the scorekeeping mechanism. The pouch closes with two colored zippers, one for each player, and you move your zipper up as you score points, according to the numbers printed on the pouch.
To start the game, each player takes 12 letter cubes and races to form their own crossword grid using any side of the cubes. The first person to score 10 points shouts "zip it!" and wins the game. One hand can be played in as little as 20 seconds! To help players come up with words, Zip-It includes "Weords," a mini dictionary featuring weird words that probably aren't common knowledge but can be used to score in word games. For instance, there are quite a few "Q" words that do not have a "U" in them and knowing those words could help you out.
Additional ways to play Zip-It give players the chance to challenge themselves and score bonus points. Zip-It makes a great travel game because all the pieces (24 letter cubes, Weords, and rules of play) can be stored inside the pouch. The whole game is compact enough to fit inside a backpack or purse, which makes it a fast and fun game that the whole family will love to play wherever and whenever.
