Our editorial team has more than 100 years combined experience working in the toy industry. Our rating system ranks toys on 4 key criteria:
- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

Get ready for a new way to color thanks to Crayola and Wild Planet who have teamed up for a new line of Crayola-themed games. The new games focus on recreating images and matching and mixing colors, all without the use and mess of traditional art supplies.
Guess My Picture is part puzzle, part art project, and part guessing game. Players take turns being the artist and the guesser. The artist combines pre-cut circles, squares, squiggles, and other two-dimensional pieces to make replicas of images printed on game cards. Guessers try to match the artist's creations with the corresponding cards. Stars are awarded for making and identifying pictures correctly, and the player with the most stars at the end of the game wins. The game ends after each player has a turn being the artist. Guess My Picture is for two to four players.
This game is great for promoting spatial thinking and fine motor skills. It allows artists of all levels to excel at creating recognizable pictures.
