- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

The Nerf Blaster evolution continues with the most impressive Nerf N-Strike Blaster yet. The new Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS Blaster is the first fully automatic Nerf Clip System blaster.
It features a new pop-out bipod, a base that you can rest the gun on like a real weapon, that also doubles as a handle for handheld firing, and a removable shield that allows players to transition to Attack Mode. The blaster also comes with one six-dart clip and three extended clips, which hold 18 darts each, offering the highest clip capacity from Nerf yet.
In more than 40 years of Nerf history, this is definitely one of the most exciting and technologically developed blasters. The Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS Blaster includes 60 Clip System darts (made with soft Nerf foam). Six D batteries are required, but not included. The batteries make it a little heavy for younger kids, but we've not really seen that deter them yet.
As with any blasters, be sure to instruct kids about play and not to fire at faces or heads.
