Our editorial team has more than 100 years combined experience working in the toy industry. Our rating system ranks toys on 4 key criteria:
- Fun — Does it engage the child? Does it inspire imaginative play? Does it contribute to creative expression? Is it entertaining?
- Repeat Play OR Collectibility — Some toys are played with, some are collected. If we feel a toy is better suited for collectibility, we’ll rank it based on Collectibility instead of Repeat Play.
- Repeat Play — Will kids come back to it over time? Does the toy allow diverse imaginative play experiences? Does it provide longer-term play value?
- Collectibility — Some toys may have limited traditional play, but kids will treasure them as collectibles.
- Assembly/Instructions — Is the toy easy to assemble? Are the instructions clear?

For kids and kids at heart, Sing-a-ma-jigs! are free-spirited, off-beat plush characters that set off unexpected laughter and excitement with each squeeze of their tummies. These little guys are so cute and they pack a funny surprise-they sing when you press their tummies! And when they sing, their little mouths open wide, showing off cute little teeth. Part of the appeal of these little guys are their offbeat voices, and kids can control how they sing by squeezing their tummies in different rhythms. We have yet to see anyone play with these who hasn't erupted into spontaneous laughter.
Every Sing-a-ma-jig! features three modes of play. When you press the tummy of one, it will chatter. Press its tummy again to hear it sing a song. Put more than one Sing-a-ma-jig! together and squeeze their tummies and they erupt into a harmonic chorus. As their motto says, "They love nothing better than singing together."
The first four characters come in different colors and with different songs. Red sings "Where Oh Where has My Little Dog Gone," Pink sings "Skip to My Loo," Teal sings "When the Saints Go Marching In," and Yellow sings "Home on the Range." Later this year, two additional characters will be released: one in purple, who sings "Oh Susanna," and another in green, who sings "On Top of Old Smoky." Kids will love collecting them all because the more they collect, the larger the chorus and the better the Sing-a-ma-jigs! sound!
Sing-a-ma-jigs! require two AAA alkaline batteries, which are included.
