Audrey DeSimone is a marketing communications specialist with nearly two decades of experience in the toy and children's entertainment industry. She recently "retired" from a 14-year career with Hasbro, Inc., as Director of Corporate Communications, to spend more time with her two girls, aged 4 and 7. Her self-described "addiction" to children's books and reading with her kids drove her to join the Time to Play team as our children's book reviewer.
While at Hasbro, Audrey worked in tandem with the company's marketing and product design teams to develop public relations programs based on the insights of how adults and kids play and interact. Audrey played an integral role in a wide variety of communications initiatives, including traditional media relations, global movie/television launches, consumer retail events and strategic brand planning for the company's world-class franchises, including Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, Littlest Pet Shop, Tonka and Playskool.
