What It Is
Farkle Around is the newest take on Patch Products' dice game Farkle. In this version, be the first player to score 10,000 points or more by matching the dice you roll to the dice pictured on the cards. The game comes with 110 scoring combinations on 55 cards, six burgundy dice, six ivory dice, and two shaker cups. It is for three or more players.
To start, place burgundy dice in one shaker cup and the ivory dice in the other, giving one cup to the youngest player and one cup to the oldest player. Then take one card from the deck and flip it over so all players can see it. The players with the dice begin to roll the dice quickly, and if any dice rolled match dice pictured on the card, place those dice over their matching image. You must match by number and color. If you roll and can't match any dice, pass your dice and shaker cup to the player on your left. The dice may get passed around and around. Your only goal is to be the player who puts on that last die to complete one color side of the card. If you do, you earn the points shown on the card. Then flip over a new card and start rolling again.
Why It’s Fun
What makes this version different from the original Farkle is that you don't have to remember scoring combinations and point values because it's all on the cards. That allows players to concentrate only on quickly finding matching dice. We like that this is a much more fast-paced game than the original Farkle.
Who It’s For
Farkle Around is for ages 8 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Additional Farkle game versions include the original, Farkle Flip, Farkle Frenzy, Farkle Nano, and Farkle Dice Cup. Each is sold separately.
This game is based on Patch Products' dice-only game Farkle. However, some people (especially those from the Midwest) might know the game better as Zilch.
