What It Is
Kids can design their own Valentine's Day cards with the My Pop-Up Cards Crate from Kiwi Crate. The kit comes with 24 pre-made pop-up cards, an assortment of valentine shapes (for example, hearts, cars, robots, and ladybugs), 10 washable fine tip markers, a glue stick, heart jewels, wiggly eyes, and two blank cards so kids can create their own pop-up card. Kids simply select one of the pop-up cards and push the pop-up strip up. Fold the card in half and glue the edges together. Choose one of the valentine shapes and decorate it with the heart jewels, wiggly eyes, and markers. Then glue the shape to the pop-up strip. Write a note to a friend or family member, seal the card, and it's ready for Valentine's Day. The kit also includes instructions so that kids can learn how to create their own pop-up cards out of the two blank cards or other paper.
Why It’s Fun
Kids will like using the supplies in this kit to decorate, design, and personalize their own Valentine's Day cards. The My Pop-Up Cards Crate is a creative, hands-on project that is easy for kids to do. And if you keep the instructions handy, kids can follow them to make more pop-up cards for other holidays and occasions.
Who It’s For
The My Pop-Up Cards Crate is for ages 3 and up. The target age range for all the Kiwi Crate products is 3–7. While Kiwi Crate gives this activity a low grownup involvement rating, parents might still have to supervise and help out for kids on the younger end of the age range.
What To Be Aware Of
Kids will also need a pair of scissors if they want to make their own pop-up cards using the included blank cards.
The My Pop-Up Cards Crate can be purchased at kiwicrate.com.
Kiwi Crate also has a subscription service. For $19.95 a month, the company will send your child a crate filled with themed activities that kids can put together themselves and play with. You don't need to subscribe to order the My Pop-Up Cards Crate.
