What It Is
The Talking Kitchen is a bilingual kitchen toy that introduces children to numbers, opposites, letters, and more. The fully stocked kitchen playset features a sink, oven, blender, whiteboard, toaster, clock, and recycling bin as well as six accessories: eggs, milk carton, cereal box, spatula, and frying pan. There are three different ways for kids to play. In Learn mode, children hear songs, sound effects, and phrases about the alphabet, numbers, opposites, kitchen phrases, shapes, and how to tell time. The songs and phrases are in Spanish and English. In Music mode, children hear a variety of songs and tunes. In Kitchen Sounds mode, kids hear realistic kitchen sound effects, such as a running tap, a boiling pan, a frying pan, an oven timer, a blender, a clock, and more. There are more than 50 sound effects, songs, and phrases.
Why It’s Fun
Kids will have fun cooking up all sorts of imaginary meals with the Talking Kitchen. This kitchen playset lets kids play out what they see grown-ups do in the kitchen. The sound effects help bring the kitchen experience to life, and the music keeps children entertained. There's also a lot of interactivity between child and toy, as the kitchen encourages kids to "turn off the water" or "open the oven."
Who It’s For
The Talking Kitchen is for ages 12 months and up.
What To Be Aware Of
Three AA batteries are included. These are for in-store try-me purposes, and Chicco recommends replacing them before you play for best results.
The Talking Kitchen is a little loud, and there is no volume control.
