What It Is
In Bass Ackwards, the right answer is wrong. Teams start at the finish space and try not to get to start. The first team chooses a card, then reads the answer and the three questions on the card. The team must select one of the two wrong questions. Once the first team has chosen its question, the second team must choose the other wrong question, but it can't be the question that the first team picked. For example, the answer is McDonald's. The three questions are A) What is the world's largest fast-food chain?, B) Whose garden did Peter Rabbit sneak into?, and C) What company is the world's largest toy distributor? Team one chooses B. Team two must then choose between A and C. Any team that selects the wrong/incorrect question, stays where they are on the game board. If your team chooses the correct question, you move your pawn toward start. Then the second team reads a card and so on. When one team reaches the start space, the other team wins.
Bass Ackwards comes with a game board, 240 trivia cards, six choice cards, a card holder, two movers, mover stands, and rules. The game is for two players or teams.
Why It’s Fun
Unlike most board games, in Bass Ackwards, you've got to be wrong to win. The premise of the game is simple, but it might take some getting used to playing in a backwards way. The game definitely gets you thinking, and it's a lot of fun. You might be surprised when you find out what answers are wrong and what are correct.
Who It’s For
Bass Ackwards is for ages 13 and up.
What To Be Aware Of
There is a special Half Bass space in the center of the game board. For a shorter game, you can play so that teams are trying not to be the one to land on that space.
