What It Is
What It Is
Bug Trails is a new take on dominoes. Instead of matching dots, players match colored bug legs. All players draw five bug tiles from the Bug Bag. Place one bug in the center of the playing space. This is your Bug Scout. Take turns matching your bug's legs to the Bug Scout and other bug tiles that have been played as the game progresses. If you match one leg, draw another bug from the Bug Bag. If you match two or three legs, put a bug tile back in the Bug Bag. The more legs you match, the closer you get to winning. The first player to run out of bug tiles wins. Bug Trails comes with 40 bug tiles, one Bug Scout flag, a Bug Bag that can also be used for storage, and instructions. It is for two to six players.
Why It’s Fun
This is cute and simple matching fun for kids. It helps reinforce simple strategies and visual matching for younger players, but is a game the whole family can enjoy. Kids can even play with the appealing bug characters separate from the game.
Who It’s For
Bug Trails is for ages 6 and up.
What to Be Aware of
The instructions for Bug Trails offer different ways to play. The game can be played cooperatively or competitively, and there are ways to allow even younger children to play.
