What It Is
What It Is
Meon is a new toy line that lets kids create and display their own neon-like signs using light-up wire that simulates actual neon tubes. No power cords, lightbulbs, or heat is needed. Simply choose the design and snap in the pegs by following the pattern. Thread the Meon wire (It's kind of like tracing a picture.) and turn off the lights to see it glow. The Deluxe Animation Studio comes with a 15-inch frame, 11 feet of Meon wire, 45 pegs, a peg tool, six picture sheets, and instructions. It also features animation, games and activities, sound effects, and sound and voice activation. There are several licensed versions to choose from: Disney Princesses, Cars 2, Star Wars, and Disney Fairies.
Why It’s Fun
In the same vein as a Lite Brite, Meon lets kids create colorful pictures using light. In Meon's case the light comes from neon-like wire. Kids will like the different games and activities they can engage in with their Meon creation. The Meon Deluxe Animation Studio also makes a fun room light.
Who It’s For
The Meon Deluxe Animation Studio is for ages 5 and up. However, it took us about 30 minutes to thread one picture. It was a little difficult and tedious, so we think older kids will be able to manipulate the threading better and have more patience.
