What It Is
What It Is
The Wizard Card Game combines Hearts, Bridge, and Spades into one card game. The object of the game is to correctly predict the number of tricks you will take in each round. You get points for guessing correctly, but lose points for too many or too few tricks. The player with the most points wins.
One card is dealt to each player in the first round, two cards in the second round, and so on. Players bid the number of tricks they will win. A trick is won when one of three things happens: 1. The first Wizard card is played, 2. The highest trump card is played, if no Wizard card is played, or 3. The highest card of the suit led is played, if no trump card is played. The Wizard and Jester cards add a "wild card" element to the strategy. Wizard cards trump every other card, while Jesters always lose.
The game comes with a scorecard and 60 cards. It is for three to six players.
