Precious Planet is Released at the Zoo
Maggie Gyllenhaal helps Fisher-Price launch Precious Planet, a new line of baby gear and newborn toys.
The Amphibian Room at the Central Park Zoo was filled with toys on January 27 as Fisher-Price held a special event there to unveil its new Precious Planet line of must-have baby gear for parents and their little ones. Actress and mom Maggie Gyllenhaal was on hand to lend support for the new line and to announce Fisher-Price's $250,000 donation benefiting the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), an organization that saves wildlife and wild places. "Fisher-Price is such a big part of everyone's childhood and I am so happy to join forces with them in presenting this generous donation in support of the Wildlife Conservation Society," Gyllenhaal said. Dr. Robert Cook, WCS executive vice-president for living institutions, accepted the donation.
The Precious Planet line expands Fisher-Price's BabyGear division and includes a wide selection of items including a high chair, gym, cradle swing, bouncer, potty, mobile, tub, bedding, and more. The line also features comforting fabrics, activities, and colorful, adorable baby animals such as monkeys, giraffes, and polar bears. The large whale on the Precious Planet Bath Mirror makes bath time fun! The Precious Planet Stay-in-Place Sun Shade keeps babies entertained in the car while blocking out bright sunlight. And kids can eat and play with an adorable lion, hippo, and monkey when seated in the Precious Planet High Chair. The Precious Planet collection retails for $12.99-$129.99 and is for newborns and up.
