Guinness World Records

Here is your chance to actually prove you can beat that world record you always say you can!

What It Is

Guinness World Records: The Videogame is a collection of over 35, wacky, party-game challenges that are based on real-life Guinness World records. The challenges require you to break the records in a variety of stunts such as the fastest time to crush watermelons with your head, longest fingernails, and loudest burp.

Why It’s Fun

Players attempt to beat the records through life-like motions and actions while holding the Wii-remote in a variety of positions, which leads to some highly entertaining physical comedy. This game is a blast whether you are playing or just watching and waiting for your turn. It’s hard to keep from laughing along with the player whose turn is up as they jump around and perform all sorts of embarrassing movements while trying to beat a world record for something as odd as the fastest time to shear a sheep.

Who’s Going To Love It

Most of the best games to date for the Wii have been party games that the whole family or a group of friends can play together and that is exactly what Guinness World Records is. Everyone from parents to kids to teens and even college-age kids will love this game for it’s simplicity to play and high level of party fun.

What To Be Aware Of

There is an added incentive for breaking world records in the game as players can become a “Virtual Guinness World Records Holder,” by posting their results online to see how they compare to others. Players with the highest scores have a chance to win the ultimate prize of being included in the official Guinness Book of World Records.

Fun Scale

0 out of 5

It has to be fun or it wouldn’t be on Time to Play. But some games are more fun than others so here’s our scale: 1 is fun, 2 is a lot of fun, 3 is great, 4 is awesome and 5 is out-of-this-world!
