I haven’t been keeping tabs on Dora the Explorer’s expeditions, but judging by her latest video game, Dora’s Big Birthday Adventure, she has come a long, long way since searching for that Big Red Chicken in her original TV pilot.
World Of Cars Online is a new browser-based, virtual world inspired by the 2006 movie, Cars. Since it’s original theatrical and subsequent video releases, Cars has continued to be one of the hottest boys properties and will likely grow in popularity with the release of Cars 2 in 2011. Last holiday season’s most popular toy line, Zhu Zhu Pets, is now one of the summer’s hottest video games for kids. Zhu Zhu Pets the video game, recreates the robo-hamster toys in a virtual world where kids can care for their pets and compete in maze races with the hamsters as playable characters. The game is easily played using the intuitive touch screen on the DS.
I’m guessing that if you are reading this review that it is safe to assume you have heard of a little film called, Toy Story 3. It’s hard to believe that it has been three years since the first Super Mario Galaxy was released. It seems like it was just yesterday that we were transported to this strange and wacky galaxy that only Nintendo could conceive. Puzzle playing people are probably pretty familiar with the game Picross, an international hit for the DS from 2007. The Picross puzzle parade (sorry, I’ll stop with the alliterations) is back with Picross 3D, a collection of brain-teasing multi-dimensional puzzles.
