I won and was sent 5 bottles of the new Washable Crayola Colored Bubbles to review from www.timetoplaymag.com. Each color comes in its own spill resistant bottle. I got one of each color pink, purple, blue, orange and green. We won these bubbles almost 3 weeks ago but it has been freezing or pouring since the day they arrived. Finally today was beautiful and my two youngest kids could not wait to try them out!!

  • Rango The Videogame

    Video Game ReviewsRango The Videogame

Rango The Videogame is, as you probably guessed, a video game based on the Paramount/Nickelodeon Movies animated movie, Rango. The game follows the adventures of the title character, Rango—a chameleon who is the Sheriff of the town of Dirt—as he tries to uncover an interstellar mystery that landed in his town. The game is set mainly in and around Dirt and gives players a chance to go beyond the movie with an extended storyline inspired by the movie.

  • Jam & Honey

    Book ReviewsJam & Honey

The old saying goes, “there are two sides to every story,” and that’s just what this new book offers. Melita Morales’ story is about a young girl who encounters a bee while out picking berries. She dramatizes this meeting with two separate first-person narratives — one from the girl’s point of view and the second from the bee’s viewpoint. In the girl’s version, she sagely heeds her mother’s advice and stands still so the bee can go about his business. The bee eventually flies away, and the girl and her mom go home with their berries to make jam. In the bee’s…

  • Stikits

    Real ReviewsStikits

When I get a package, the first thing my son J says is “is that for ME?!” Not usually the case, but this time it was! He just couldn’t wait to open the Stikits and start creating. After dinner, we cleaned off the table and opened the box. The sponge (used for sticking the pieces together) was buried way down in the bottom, so before we found it, I got a little bowl and put water in it. For us, the bowl of water worked better than the sponge.

  • Mars Needs Moms

    Family Film ReviewsMars Needs Moms

Like a lot of nine-year-olds, Milo (Seth Green’s captured motion, Seth Dusky’s voice) thinks his mother (Joan Cusack) is too hard on him. She wants him to take out the garbage, shut the front door behind him, and eat his broccoli, not to mention forgive his father (Tom Everett Scott) when he doesn’t make it home as promised, because his plane is grounded by bad weather. Still, Milo worries when his frustration leads him to say something he doesn’t really mean, namely, “My life would be so much better if I didn’t have a mother.”

  • Kidz Bop Dance Party! The Video Game

Video Game ReviewsKidz Bop Dance Party! The Video Game

Kidz Bop Dance Party! The Video Game came out last September, but it was somewhat overshadowed by all the other dance games arriving around the same time; so I figured I’d go back and check it out. Like other dance games for the Wii, Kidz Bop Dance Party is a collection of songs with choreographed dance numbers that players have to follow in order to score points. The Wii eliminates the need for a dance pad controller as the motion-sensing remote allows the Wii to “see” the players’ movements and award points for hitting the dance moves at the correct time.

  • Quackenstein Hatches a Family

    Book ReviewsQuackenstein Hatches a Family

Quackenstein is a lonely, grumpy duck living in the darkest corner of the zoo. Feeling sorry for himself, one day he stumbles upon several “orphaned” eggs and decides to adopt one. He anxiously takes his chosen egg home to hatch. On a dark and stormy night, the egg hatches and out comes a mysterious little creature that was definitely not a duck. “Quack” ran in horror with his “baby” following close behind. When finally cornered in a cave, Quack is greeted with “Hello...Dad!” and his heart melts as any parent’s would when hearing their child’s first words.…

  • Crayola Washable Colored Bubbles

    Real ReviewsCrayola Washable Colored Bubbles

We received five bottles of Crayola Washable Colored Bubbles to review for Time to Play. First I decided to open the green one in the kitchen and it looked like I was opening a bottle of ink. I blew a quick bubble (the solution forms good bubbles) but the green bubble splatter was everywhere. Instantly, there was green on my hands and on my clothes. When I cleaned my floor (immediately) all of the color came right off. I cleaned my hands with soap a few minutes later and the color came right off.

  • Crayola Colored Bubbles

    Real ReviewsCrayola Colored Bubbles

Crayola Colored Bubbles: They say WASHABLE on the front, feature a great, easy-to-hold bottle, a wand that even little hands can hold and provide tons of colored bubbles. But, that’s kind of where the fun ends for us.

  • Chuggington Train Yard with Loop

Real ReviewsChuggington Train Yard with Loop

Chuggington is very popular in our house! My youngest son just learned to sign “train” and he is always pointing to the TV and singing “train.” That means I have to find Chuggington in our DVR before he starts hysterics! Wilson seems to be his favorite train right now, but we all love KoKo!
