RC Parrot

I was also lucky to have won the RC Parrot. My 13 year old son loves RC toys so he was super thrilled to go outside and try this out! The box itself was rather flimsy and a little crushed but the parrot was fine! Right out of the box, the parrot needed no assembly but did need 4 AA batteries, not included. It then needed a 20 minute charge on a well-designed charger on the remote itself, then it was ready to fly. Included is a very helpful manual, which is a definite must-read if you want to know how to use the bird.

The RC Parrot bird has two modes: indoor and outdoor. The way to toggle the modes is just a tiny weight placed on the back of the parrot. The range for the bird is approximately 20 meters from the controller. The parrot was very easy to fly and control. My son got the hang of it right away. We also loved the realistic bird sounds and flapping motion. A couple wild birds even came around while we were flying the parrot! While playing with the parrot, we found that it was surprisingly durable, and even after all of the times it crashed into the asphalt, it had suffered no damage. My 13-year-old loved it, as well as my 4-year-old. She also found it super easy to control and a lot of fun!

Pros:
Very durable, despite many hard crashes we could find no damage to the parrot.

Super easy to use, fun for our 13 year old as well as our 4 year old.

Realistic look and sounds.

Easy to charge, seemed to hold its charge well.

Cons:
The packaging was flimsy, fortunately the parrot was not damaged although the box was.

The toy needed batteries which weren’t included.

Although it has indoor or outdoor settings, for me I believe this is much more of an outdoor toy.

Both my kids, different ages and genders, had a blast with this and have played with it almost every day since trying it out for the first time.
